The Huron Valley Women's Golf Club was established in 1991 The primary objective of the Club is to create a greater number of golfing opportunities for women to participate in once they have learned the game and to provide weekly, evening golf leagues. The HVWGC membership is over 200 strong and represents a good cross-section of women in the community. With this large membership, the HVWGC has become a notable networking organization for women golfers. HVWGC members have an opportunity to play—as much or as little golf—as you would like. You may choose from several evening leagues that play on four nights of the week. Current regular leagues are offered at the following golf courses:
In 1994, HVWGC established a Learning League in cooperation with Pine View Golf Course to provide women with the opportunity to receive professional instruction and learn to play golf. The Club has contracted with The Strategic Fox in Plymouth for an additional Learning League for 2003. Members not committing to weekly league play may choose alternatives such as subbing in any of the leagues and participating in monthly special events and weekend trips.
