Do You Need a Golf Sub?

There are two methods that HVWGC members can use to find a golf sub.
      - use the golf sub list provided by each league
      - use the HVWGC golf sub e-mail listserve.

Beginning in 2006, HVWGC has offered members a new method to find a sub using the "golfsub" listserve. The listserve messages are sent only to those who sign up using the web form below. Each message will have [golfsub] at the beginning of the subject line so you can easily identify those messages.

Use the listserve to find a sub in 3 easy steps:

1. Sign up your e-mail address using the form below. You can sign up if you need a sub or if you want to sub.
   • You can use a different e-mail account for the "golfsub" listserve than your e-mail for the "hvwgc announcement" listserve.
   • When you sign up, the listserve will automatically send a confirmation e-mail to you. You must reply to that e-mail to be officially registered on the listserve.
   • If your e-mail screens bulk mail, add golfsub@lists.hurongolf.org as a trusted sender to your e-mail account.
2. Send your message to golfsub@lists.hurongolf.org.
         Subject Line: Sub Needed, day of week, date, course
         e.g. Sub Needed, Monday, 5/15, Leslie Park
   In the message body include your name, tee time and phone number so interested subs can contact you by phone.
   Some members have found it easier to add "golfsub@lists.hurongolf.org" in their e-mail address book.
   The purpose for requesting that you use this specific format in the subject line is so members do not need to open each e-mail if they are not interested in that particular message.
3. Send another e-mail when you have found a sub After you have arranged for a sub, post a message as follows.
         Subject Line: Sub Found, day of week, date, course
   

   Your e-mail address:
   	subscribe unsubscribe
